Culture Days happening near Appleby Line this weekend

Burlington is participating in Culture Days on Sept. 29, 30, and Oct. 1 2017, with free activities planned across the city near Appleby Line, including Doors Open Burlington on Saturday, Sept. 30.

Culture Days is hosted by independent Burlington artists, the Arts and Culture Council of Burlington, the Art Gallery of Burlington, the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, Museums of Burlington, Burlington Public Libraries and Tourism Burlington.

Event highlights include:

Amplify the Culture Session – Kickoff event Spencer Smith Park Gazebo Friday, Sept. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Culture Days at Doors Open – free activities and performances by dancers, fine artists, musicians, photographers, poets and more. Various locations, including all fire stations Saturday, Sept. 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All Burlington Fire Department stations are also participating in Doors Open. Residents are invited to tour their local fire station, meet local firefighters and learn about the tools they use. Station 1, Headquarters, will offer demonstrations and activities.

Culture Days is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a national network of cultural connections devoted to providing Canadians with opportunities to participate in, and appreciate, all forms of art and culture.
