Burlington man seriously injured at Walkers and Harvester crash

Halton Regional Police Service is investigating a serious two-vehicle collision that occurred shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday June 6 in Burlington. A yellow Burlington Taxis mini van was in collision with a silver Saab motor vehicle at the intersection of Walkers Line and Harvester Road.

The 68-year old driver of the mini van was treated for minor injuries at Joseph Brant Hospital before being discharged a short time later, while the driver of the Saab, a 20-year old Burlington man, was transported to Hamilton General Hospital with life threatening injuries.

Due to the serious nature of the incident, the Collision Reconstruction Unit attended and assumed control of the investigation.

The southbound lanes of Walkers Line between the Queen Elizabeth Way and Harvester Road, along with Harvester Road from Walkers Line to South Service Road were closed for approximately four hours due to the scene investigation and subsequent clean up operation.
