Then you should attend the second annual Halton Region Food Tourism Summit – Steps to Sustainability. This free event includes breakfast and will take place Thursday, March 26, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Country Heritage Park, Gambrel Barn, 8560 Tremaine Rd, in Milton.

The event is aimed towards people in the tourism and food industries but everyone in Halton is welcome to network and learn about innovative sustainable practices and initiatives to increase access to locally sourced foods.

“This event is designed to develop strong relationships between our farming and culinary communities to help them put more locally sourced foods on restaurant tables, to encourage growth in the culinary tourism industry and to help support a sustainable local economy,” said Regional Chair Gary Carr
