Nighttime break and entery warnings

Police are warning residents about a recent rash of nighttime break and enters that have occurred in south Burlington since the beginning of June.

Culprit(s) have gained entry through unlocked patio doors and windows while occupants are sleeping. Once inside, culprit(s) are stealing electronics, wallets, purses and car keys. In several instances, vehicles have been stolen from driveways.

Police are vigorously investigating these break-ins and encouraging citizens to immediately report any suspicious people and/or vehicles which they observe in their neighbourhood during nighttime hours.

Police are also asking residents to make sure their homes and vehicles are properly secured before retiring for the night.
