Living with coyotes event at Paletta Mansion


On Wednesday, June 11, the City of Burlington will host a public information meeting about living with coyotes in the community.

The meeting will feature guest speaker Lesley Sampson, founding director of Coyote Watch Canada, a non-profit organization dedicated to wildlife education and fostering co-existence between communities and local ecosystems.

Residents attending the information meeting can expect to learn about:

• The habits and behaviours of the North American coyote species

• Ways to prevent potential conflicts from coyote-human interactions before they occur

• How to respond safely if a coyote approaches

• How to keep pets safe.

The information meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 11 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Paletta Mansion (Great Hall), 4250 Lakeshore Rd., east of Walkers Line.
