Healthy Appleby Line kids meeting
We've all heard the stories of out of shape and overweight children in our community.
If you to would like help create healthy changes for kids under 12, join a Health Kids Community Challenge Team Meeting on Tuesday, February 16, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m at Centennial Pool, 5151 New St.
Burlington and is one of 45 other Ontario communities that are taking part in the Healthy Kids Community Challenge to promote physical activity and healthy eating among children. Other neighborhood meetings include:
Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2016 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Alton Branch, Burlington Public Library, 3040 Tim Dobbie Dr.
Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Calvary Baptist Church, 2458 Saint Frances Dr.
Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Aldershot HUB, 261 Plains Rd. E.
Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., St. Christopher's Church, 662 Guelph Line
During the meeting, you learn about:
Information collected through the community needs assessment and get an update on the Healthy Kids Community Challenge first action plan;
Share your ideas on how to plan and implement an action plan in your neighborhood;
Learn about the next Healthy Kids Community theme; and
Learn more about how you can stay involved to make a difference where you live.
