Build your business at Appleby Car-Free Street Festival


Looking for a cost-effective way to build your businesses with the Appleby Line community?

You should rent a booth at the May 31 Appleby Car-Free Street Festival for only $20. If you really want to put your promotions on high octane, the Festival also offers sponsorship packages ranging from $100 to $1,000. Hurry if you’re interested. You only have until April 31 to register.

This year, committee members Sharlene Henderson, Nathan Klahsen, Jack Dennison, Paul Sharman, Francine Grimshire, and Mario Carr are busily organizing the Festival that drew more than 5,000 people last year.

During the Festivel, Appleby Line will be closed from New Street to Fairview Street between 1 p.m.- 5 p.m. Organizations, businesses, schools and community groups will make the route come alive with a variety of community and activities.

As a participant you can expect:

  • An afternoon that promotes community in a vibrant, fun, healthy way

  • An avenue to support and promote local businesses

  • An avenue to introduce new customers

  • An afternoon that reduces our carbon footprint.

  • Getting involved with your community

Some promotional ideas include:

  • Having your business set-up an event or display

  • Set-up an activity or entertainment along the route

  • Hand-out samples

  • Hold a sidewalk sale

  • Provide a demonstration of your business

  • Hand-out coupons
