Man with handgun robs bakery near Appleby Line
The East Way Bake Shop at 4047 New Street at the plaza near Walker's Line in Burlington was robbed on Monday March 23 at 5:35 p.m.
According to Halton Regional Police, a male suspect demanded money while pointing a handgun at an employee. The employee turned over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who then fled the store and ran westbound along the plaza.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30's, 5'9" - 5'10" tall, wearing blue jeans, blue plaid shirt, red toque and black sunglasses. Police are asking the public for help.
