Appleby Line Cram-A-Cruiser event raises food & donations
Thank you to everyone who braved the cold to help the Halton Regional Police Cram-A-Cruiser with food at Appleby Liner and Dundas on Sunday, Feb. 15.
Not only did the police cram a cruiser but four cruisers, an SUV and the community minivan that was stuffed to the roof. A total of 5400 pounds of food was donated by the community and $505.20 in cash donations, all going to the Burlington Salvation Army Food Bank.
Members of the Halton Regional Police teamed up with Fortinos franchise owner Frank Scornaienchi on Appleby Line and Dundas Street in Burlington to Cram-A-Cruiser full of food donations.
The Halton Regional Police Burlington Community Mobilization Bureau anticipates running the Cram-A-Cruiser food drive challenge throughout the year to support all our local food banks across the City.
