Popular Hilton Falls Moonlight Ski Friday, Feb. 6
Snow conditions should be perfect for the popular Guided Moonlight Cross Country Ski Night at Hilton Falls Conservation Area this Friday, Feb. 6. Best of all, it's just a short drive from Burlington up Appleby Line to Milton.
If you’re not into skiing, you can also join a guided hike.
The night starts at the Hilton Falls Visitor Centre where trail leaders will take small groups of skiers and hikers, and guide them through a beautiful forest to the scenic and picturesque Hilton Falls. A warm fire will be waiting, as well as a cup of hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows!
The Guided Moonlight Skiing program is offered from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Fees are $17 for adults and $11 for children (ages 5 to 14), plus HST. To register please call Hilton Falls at 905-854-0262, or stop by and visit our Visitor Services Staff.
The Visitor Centre is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the park closes at 7 p.m. If you need equipment, there is a $15 (plus HST) ski rental package available. Ski rentals must be booked and paid for in advance due to limited availability.
Please note that Conservation Halton reserves the right to cancel the event in the event of unsafe trail conditions. The following terms and conditions also apply.
Individuals must pre-register and pay in advance with debit/credit card or cash.
No refunds. Refunds only if staff cancel event due to poor weather and/or unsafe trail conditions.
Hilton Falls will host another Moonlight Ski and Hikes on Friday, March 6. The first Moonlight Ski and Hike was scheduled for Friday, January 9, but it was cancelled due to a lack of snow.
Hilton Falls Consevation Area is at 4985 Campbellville Road, just west of Appleby Line and north of the 401. For more information www.conservationhalton.ca.
