I'll Show You How: Knit 'n' Natter

Sat. mornings 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Drop into the New Appleby Public library for morning crafting and companionship. Bring along your knitting bag or crochet hooks and work on your own project. Beginners can borrow needles and yarn from us for the morning and help contribute squares to blankets for charity. All adults welcome.

The Burlington Alliance Church offers two programs at the New Appleby Library at 7 p.m every Wed. for people who are new to Canada and would like to improve their English skills.

Bands at Boston Manor

Weekly live music

The Boston Manor is an upscale billiard hall and live music complex. Bands play weekly on Fri. and Sat.. It's located at 4460 Fairview St. at the corner of Appleby Line and is home to the Canadian Pool Players Association, and some of the finest billiard tables around. To see what bands are playing click or call (905) 637-1984

Bronte Provincial Park Hiking

All year

Hiking season is upon us. If you live near Appleby Line in Burlington or Oakville, you don't have to travel too far to Bronte Provincial Park to enjoy the great outdoors. Located along the scenic Bronte Creek and valley this provincial park has a number of trails for various hiking abilities. An admisssion fee is required but a season pass can be purchased at the park.
